So cool. I once had the Boss GT8. Now we have a GT3 floating around the team. What church are you in. Do you have any videos or mp3s?

Eric,
I appreciate your approach. Started leading with guitar (electric) 2 years ago via your teaching DVD's. Thank You. I use a Fender American Deluxe H,S,S and a Boss GT-10.

Thank you for your encouraging words, great pic!
Love the question 'where is the fruit in what you are doing?' will have to ponder that one~
As a beginner at worship leading, am trying to encourage and facilitate people to be intuitive, sensitive to the spirit and each other and to be brave in contributing their own expression of praise.. is a long journey!
:) Praise God for his plans for each of us and that its not all up to me!

I love hearing thoughts from so many different leaders...it's encouraging to know that there are some things that are important...and stay important...but there are other pieces that seem to fit in a given context. Great stuff.

Sure, I will post some strum videos on the facebook group. While you wait, pattern 6 is all down strums. You can start there for Might to Save. And then add accents on the beats that feel right to you. Ill show you what I mean. Most songs can groove over pattern 6 because it is all eighth note strums down. That kind of beat is the undertone for many songs. Depending on how you play it and what you add to it... that's what makes it an interesting strumming pattern.

Jury,

Very active right now. Most of the students use email directly to me. Most beginning students (which is what my program is set up for now) need the books and cds to go along with the online school and to complete the program. You may be able to bypass them or just purchase the level that you need. Like book 3. The books do add cost but are a great investment for the program. They include a year of lesson that take beginners to intermediate players in one year. They are a great reference as well.

NO CONTRACTS on the program and you control when you want to quit. It is not like those places you have to CALL to cancel. I hate that! You just log in and cancel your account. No problems now with the new online store.

I hope you do try it out and write some reviews. I will help in any way I can. I do not have an affiliate program at this point but am considering how to incorporate one.

Thanks, Eric Roberts

Does anybody have any ideas for bonus lessons? I add several each week for online students and am open to suggestions. It helps when students ask, then I know exactly what you are struggling with. Just blog them or email me. Thanks, Eric R

Strumming and talking? What are you going to say? When leading worship? Just practice and start with easy patterns and it should be a piece of cake. -Eric
